Wood by Puzzled Face

I specialise in bespoke, handcrafted pieces made to last a lifetime. Every project I take on begins with a conversation — listening carefully to your ideas, understanding how you want to use the piece, and shaping those thoughts into something practical, beautiful, and uniquely yours. From finely finished cutting boards to statement beds and furniture, my work is rooted in craftsmanship, care, and attention to detail.

I believe that the best pieces tell a story. Their shape, colours, size and materials reflect the people who use them, the space they live in, and the hands that made them. That’s why nothing I create is mass-produced or rushed. Each item is individually handcrafted using traditional techniques alongside modern precision, ensuring strength, longevity, and character in every joint and surface. No two pieces are ever the same — the natural variations in wood grain, colour, and texture guarantee that your finished piece will be truly one of a kind.

Working with solid wood means respecting the material. I carefully select hard wood timber from sustainable sources for its quality, durability, and beauty, allowing its natural features to guide the final design. Knots, grain patterns, and subtle imperfections are embraced rather than hidden, giving each piece warmth and authenticity. I aim for artistry and functionality that feels honest, tactile, and timeless.

Collaboration is at the heart of my process. Whether you come to me with a fully formed idea or just a rough concept, I’ll work closely with you at every stage — from initial design and wood selection through to the final finish. I take pride in translating your vision into a finished piece that not only meets your expectations but exceeds them. Clear communication, transparency, and reliability are central to how I work, ensuring the experience is as enjoyable as the final result.

My work ranges from smaller functional items such as chopping boards and shelves to larger, more complex commissions including tables, storage solutions, and beds. Regardless of size, every project receives the same level of care and craftsmanship. I believe that well-made objects should be both useful and beautiful, enhancing everyday life while standing up to years of use.

Based in Cambridgeshire, England and serving clients from around the world who appreciate thoughtful design and skilled workmanship, I am proud to create pieces that will be used, admired, and cherished for generations.
